The work of Sustainable Med happens on the local level through the local churches in partnership with the indigenous medical leaders. Emmanuel has been helping lead this effort in Rwanda (and the surrounding nations) for the past four years. By God's grace, these efforts have been tremendously successful at both eradicating the neglected tropical diseases, changing elements of culture, and spreading the Gospel. This has made such a large impact and been replicated enough times throughout the country that the government has requested his help to design and determine implementation measures for the national program to eliminate both malnutrition and intestinal parasites. But, Emmanuel would be quick to tell you that this has been a team effort, and the results would not have been possible without the provision of the Holy Spirit as well as the dozens of dedicated faith and medical leaders throughout Rwanda who have chosen to partner with Sustainable Me
