The Sustainable Med team traveled to India to train local leaders as well as see some of the work being done. They were able to visit one of the SMM project sites in a slum located in Delhi as well some tea plantations in North Eastern India . They were impressed by both the high level of need but also the beauty of the people and community at each site they visited. They were able to connect with some amazing local leaders who are faithfully serving in these difficult conditions. Their passion, patience and dedication left them hopeful and excited for what they are able to do in partnership with them presently and in the future. Sustainable Medical Missions training is so important because if done correctly and adopted by the local people, can bring lasting results and radically change a community.
The team put on two training conferences, one for leaders in India and the other for Nepal. The participants are learning solutions and training for lasting health benefits for their communities and surrounding areas. Great connections and relationships are being built in this part of the world and love what God is doing here.
